I want to get a new paintball gun and im gettin a x7 but what makes the tippman x7 phenom better and stand out more? Also any suggestions on other good quality paintball guns under 500$

The main difference is the Phenom is both mechanical and electronic operation. In other words, the batteries go out and you can flip to mechanical semi to keep going.

I am looking on ebay, and the paintball vest I want to get is over 3 pounds. That’s what it says. How much should they weigh? I want a light one so I can move around good, but how much should they weigh? How much is too heavy?

It depends on what you get. Some are real light weight and only are about 1.5lb while some can be as heavy as 5lb. The average for a paintball vest is 2 or 3 lb.

How much is to heavy? That’s up to you. It is up to the person wearing it, for me i don’t care if it is 5lb because for me all i see it as is making the game a lil more of a challenge by adding more weigh to me and giving me more of a work out. When i play woodsball i wear a vest that is about 10lb fully loaded with my tank, pobs, and some tools and other stuff.

I am looking for a place to play and buy a 1 year membership so that I can play during college. The paint is not expensive there and have heard good things about it.

Proffesor Lumpy’s Paintball Academy looks and sounds good. It’s in Ohio, but within 40-50 miles of Pittsburgh.

Urban Assault could be good and has different types of fields but some reviews say it’s pretty bad.

Three Rivers Paintball is OK. The paint is really expensive ($ 80 a case) and it’s not very good. The refs we had weren’t good either. They do have a lot of woodsball fields, though.

Get a tippman 98 custom
and dnt get a co2 tank get hpa and every paintball field fills up co2 and hpa tanks which is the cylinder

Depends on what equipment you are looking for. Dye and eclipse make high-quality tournament pants and jerseys, and eclipse also makes some of the best tourney markers. For other soft goods, check out NxE. For aftermarket upgrades, CP (Custom Products) is a good bet. For goggle systems, Dye i3′s are great. If you aren’t into tourney paintball, you can find high-quality scenario gear at specialopspaintball.com. They carry pretty much anything you would need for scenario ball. For rec ball, check out the spyder vs3, or a ccm phantom pump, if you’re into that. For airtanks, try DXS or CP. That’s all I got for ya.

I have a Spyder Sonix paintball gun and was wondering what type of barrel would be best for it. First of all, do all barrels fit all guns?(I mean the part you screw it into.) I bought a PCS US-5 Commando Barrel – Spyder Thread for my Spyder Victor, its 14 inches and performs very well. Not all guns use the same barrel threads, the longer the barrell the more accurate it is, within reason, anything over 18 inches on a spyder sonix would be ridiculus. Hope this helped
